Learning objectives

Awareness of the analysis of social interactions, with particular regard to processes of transformation occurring in contemporary society. Giving students a coherent picture of analytical techniques, diagnostic assessment and treatments used in clinical psychology and psychopathology. Introduction to methods utilised in the demo-ethno-anthropological analysis of health care processes.

Prerequisites

A foundation of general psychological and sociological knowledge. Three-year nursing degree.

Course unit content

The course enables students to understand theoretical notions and develop their knowledge of the principal procedures and tools regarding psychological assessment processes in the clinical-medical sector. It also develops an analysis of modernisation processes in contemporary society, with particular regard to the ways in which health care is depicted. Lastly, it provides a foundation in demo-ethno-anthropological analysis and its application in health care contexts, with particular regard to the nursing profession.<br />
