Integrated course unit module: KINESIOLOGY OF ADAPTIVE SPORTS

Learning objectives

Students will learn about the pathogenetic mechanisms of the main phlogistic, degenerative and dysmetabolic osteoarticular diseases and their clinical manifestations. They will also learn about their repercussions and the implications for physical activity, which rheumatic diseases can be aggravated and relieved by motor activity, and which physical activities (both amateur and competitive) place the greatest demands on the osteoarticular system.

Course unit content

<p>1) Classification of rheumatic diseases; 2) phlogistic arthropathies: a) Rheumatoid arthritis; b) seronegative spondyloarthritis (ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthropathy); 3) overview of connectivitis (LES, scleroderma, dermatopolymyositis); 4) overview of vasculitis (polymyalgia rheumatica, temporal arteritis); 5) osteoarthrosis 6) microcrystalline arthropathies (Gotta, etc.); 7) extra-articular rheumatism (fibromyalgia); 8) osteoporosis; 9) lumbalgia. </p>
