Learning objectives
The lecture course will focus on the main fragments of a number of lost Euripidean dramas (to be chosen from fragments from Aeolus, Alcmaeon per Corinthum, Alexander, Auge, Bellerophon, Busiris, Chrysippus, Hippolytus Kalyptomenus, Hypsipyla, Melanippa Sapiens, Oedipus, Phaethon, Phrixus I, Phoenix, Philoctetes, Phrixus II, Sisyphus, Stheneboea, Sciron, Scyrii, Syleus, Temenus, Telephus, Temenidae) and the attempts to reconstruct their plots.
Prerequisites
Consolidation and refinement of the competences acquired during the Greek Literature course taught by Professor G. Burzacchini, with particular reference to the grammatical history of the Greek language, prosody, history of textual tradition and criticism, and the history of Greek literature.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods are based on classroom lectures, but may at times take the form of seminars. Lectures are accompanied by tutorial sessions. <br />
Students who do not meet the course attendance requirements are advised to attend the practical courses in Greek literature, prosody and historical grammar which are held in parallel with the courses on Greek literature taught by Professor G. Burzacchini. <br />
Assessment consists of an oral exam to ascertain that the course goals have been attained. <br />
