Course unit partition: GENERAL MATHEMATICS

Learning objectives

The course aims at providing the basic mathematical knowledge for analysing and solving economic and corporate problems requiring a quantitative assessment. The student will be trained in the basic calculus which is required in this respect.

At the end of the course the student will be able to design, in quantitative terms, the structure of simple economic problems. She will be able to read and interpret, through an appropriate language, a graph, a table or other quantitative information downloadable from the web. She will be able to build up in the simplest cases a mathematical model useful for the solution of economic problems.
