Another objective regards library research skills in the field of performing arts subjects.
Prerequisites

Course unit content

Course title: The history and theory of theatre direction.

The twentieth century is considered the century of the director par excellence. The course introduces students to the meanings and theories which have grown up around the process of direction; it offers an excursus per exempla through different aesthetic developments in the phenomenon of direction, by focusing on a number of significant practices, analysing a number of productions, and discussing their poetics and modes of operation. Through exercises and moments of seminar work, the course teaches students how to read and analyse the operation of direction.
