Learning objectives

Introduce the student to the use of a Data Base Management System.

Prerequisites

The course has to be taken jointly with 'Basi di Dati'.

Course unit content

The course will introduce the student to a specific Data Base Management System (PostgreSQL), which will be used to rediscuss, in a practical context, the topics presented from a more theoretical point of view in the course 'Basi di Dati'. Part of the course will be devoted to the design and implementation of a project (a relational data base) that will be the subject of the examination.
