Learning objectives

To acquire the ability to perform complete scientific characterizations, from the sample preparation to the data analysis, using some of the most diffuse spectroscopic techniques in the cultural heritages field.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the interaction radiation-matter and of the basis of the optics.

Course unit content

Experiences of complete characterizations, by means of  micro-Raman and FTIR-ATR, of materials related to cultural heritages. The experiences will be performed in small groups.
