Learning objectives
Acquisition of theoretical-practical knowledge, of a highly qualifying nature, in specific spheres of biotechnological research.
Prerequisites
Have passed at least half of the examinations relative to the subjects taught in the first year of the course.
Course unit content
<p>Various and regarding the different spheres of Biotechnology – including molecular diagnostics and food analysis (GMOs, allergens and designations of origin), the development on a genetic-molecular basis of models of human pathology in model organisms, vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, bioanalytical and bioorganic chemistry depending on the research topic and on the site of the internship chosen by the student. Internships may be carried out on sites both internal and external to the University of Parma (e.g. in biotechnological companies having a special agreement with the University) for the performing of work pertinent to the thesis, which must always be of an experimental nature. <br />
