Learning objectives

Acquisition of taxonomic competences and ability in recognizing plants species belonging to the main plant families and different environments. <br />

Course unit content

 Determination of the main taxa of Spermatophyta, with particular regard to the Angiospermae taxon. Use of analytical keys and steromicroscopes to identify the most representative species of the main plant families of the flora of Italy. Preparation of a herbarium which demonstrates the acquisition of taxonomic competences and the ability to autonomously identify the plant species present in different environments. <br />

Teaching methods

<p>At the end of the course, students are required to autonomously identify some plant species using analytical keys and steromicroscope.</p>
<p>The correctness and accuracy of the herbarium prepared during the course will be also considered for the final evaluation.</p>
