Learning objectives

<p>The couse is aimed to connect (1) stratigraphy and sedimentology of alluvial plains to applications in hydrogeology and (2) sedimentology of coasts to applications in beach conservation and defence.</p>

Course unit content

<p>The course is composed of three units:</p>
<p>1. Quaternary sedimentation: tectonic influence and climatic control</p>
<p>2. Alluvia sedimentary systems: fluvial deposits and groundwater resources</p>
<p>3. Coastal sedimentary systems: dynamic equilibrium, natural and anthropogenic modifications, interventions for beach reconstruction </p>
