Learning objectives
Provide the theoretical-epistemological foundation required for studying the modes and forms of the articulation between the mental and social processes, with special attention to the analysis of the processes of perception and social cognition, and the interpersonal and intergroup relations.
Course unit content

Examination of the theoretical models and methods will provide the basis for an in-depth look at a number of key themes in Social Psychology research, with regard to the relationship between cognitive processes and social life, and interpersonal and social relations.<br />
<br />
The themes examined include: the perception of others, causal attribution, social cognition, the social dimensions of self, aggressive and pro-active behaviors , social identity, groups and intergroup relations, socialisation processes, social representations, persuasion and social influence.
