Learning objectives

The aims of the course are: <br />
- to introduce to the technical foundation of pension management; <br />
- to examine insurance products covering life risks, pension savings products and life annuities; <br />
- to investigate the steps of the risk management process for an insurer and a pension fund. <br />
The expertise gained by the student on the topics dealt with in the course are suitable for several positions in an insurance company or a pension fund. Outside the insurance area, the knowledge provided by the course can help in understanding the features of the financial management services provided to individuals when funding a pension. <br />

<p>Contributions and benefits in a pension scheme. <br />
Survival and death benefits linked to financial performances: participating, unit-linked, index-linked policies and variable annuities. <br />
An introduction to asset-liability management and to risk management for pension products. <br />
