Learning objectives

This type of educational activity offers food for thought for the in-depth study of paths concerning nutrition, food science, production technologies, the history and traditions of the area, environmental education.
The visits are also useful for establishing a further approach to the meaning of a museum, to the relationship between typical foods and landscape.

The student who intends to request the recognition of this credit must have made at least 5 visits and, following the same, fill out a short report that contains precise points of attention for each visit, points that will in any case be made explicit in due time (eg. Date of visit, Museum visited, brief description of the Museum.). The activity involves the use of the Elly platform for the detailed description of the activity and the collection of visit reports.

The type of didactic activity envisaged for this training activity will therefore provide that 1 CFU is equal to 12 hours of visit / didactic excursion

Course unit content

The training activity in question would formalize the educational visit to the Food Museums in the student's career, starting from the current academic year, thanks to a mutual collaboration agreement between the Degree Course in Gastronomic Sciences of the University of Parma and the Association “The Food Museums of the Province of Parma”.
