Integrated course unit module: MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS

Learning objectives

Give to the student basics on statistics and on some possible applications.

Prerequisites

Logical and formal calculation abilities, learnt at high school.

Course unit content

Descriptive statistics. Using statistics to summarize data sets. Probability. Discrete and continuous random variables. Gaussian distribution. Distributions of sampling statistics. Testing statistical hypotheses.
