Learning objectives

Acquisition of advanced concepts in phonetics and semantics aimed at reconstructing the history-etymology of Italian gastronomic vocabulary.

Prerequisites

Course unit content

<br />Course title: Principles of phonetics and semantics applied to etymological research on dialect and regional Italian lexicon. <br />
<br />
On the basis of the lexicon studied during the undergraduate course Italian Linguistics on Language and cuisine at the Farnese court, the course will exam problems and methods of historical-etymological reconstruction.
