<br />Separative techniques: Reversed phase Liquid chromatography. Ion exchange liquid chromatography. Capillary electrophoresis. Principles and applications. <br />Mass spectrometry: Low and high resolution Mass analyzer: linear quadrupole (Q), triple quadrupole (QqQ), ion trap (IT), time of flight (TOF), quadrupole-time of flight (QTOF), double focusing sector, Ion cyclotron resonance-fourier transform analyser (FTICR). MS and MSn analysis. Aquisizion signal modes. Qualitative and quantitative analysis. Electrospray: principles and applications of biological interest. <br />Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization (MALDI)-TOF-MS. Principles and applications.<br />Surface Enhanced Laser Desorption Ionization (SELDI)-TOF-MS. Principles and applications.<br />Inductively coupled plasma (ICP)-MS. Sample preparation methods for the mass spec analysis. Hyphenated techniques: liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry. Liquid chromatography-ICP-MS.<br />Analytical data quality: evaluation of analytical data reliability in mass spectrometry.
