Learning objectives

This module’s aim is to enhance the acquisition of knowledge about the social services in the operational context of the adult correction department.

Course unit content

The purpose of this section of the course is to provide the basic knowledge regarding the social services for the adult correction department.
In the first part of this module, the institutional and historical basis of this topic will be introduced and linked with the juridical basis of this services for the DOC and probation.
In the second part individual, group and community aspects will be considered.
