Learning objectives

At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to know and understand the epidemiology and prophylaxis of preventable infectious diseases by vaccine.
The student must also be able to acquire knowledge of the infectious hazards to which pregnant are exposed and the means of their prevention

Course unit content

Basic concepts of epidemiology and prevention of preventable diseases by active immunoprofilaxis.
Prevention of the most important infectious diseases with particular regard to the infectious risk during pregnancy.

Teaching methods

Lectures will be held on-site. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.

Assessment methods and criteria

For the assessment of the achievement of the objectives the student must take an oral exam to evaluate the acquired knowledge of the course.
