Learning objectives
Students will acquire advanced language skills for the reading and interpretation of Latin authors.
Prerequisites
Course requirement: 10 credits in the Latin language and literature SDA.
Course unit content

C. Sallustius Crispus: De coniuratione Catilinae. <br />
A reading with commentary of passages taken from the first Sallustian monograph, which sets out to analyse the salient features of Sallust’s language with a special focus on its lexical and syntactical aspects. <br />
A section of the course will be dedicated to an in-depth examination of certain aspects of historical phonetics and morphology. <br />
