Learning objectives
Provide basic knowledge of this subject from an unusual standpoint of methodology and performing arts criticism and, in particular, the relationship between theatre and science.
Course unit content
<br />This historical-introductory course will take an unconventional look at the relationship between the theatre and science, starting from Aeschylus up to the present day, re-examining texts and writers in which this relationship can be seen, while at the same time providing a unique perspective on the theatre seen from a cross-disciplinary standpoint, including through the use of audiovisual tools: from Prometheus by Aeschylus to The Chandler by Giordano Bruno and Galileo by Brecht.
