Course unit content

The course illustrates some basic notions of sociology of health - including those of body, disease, patient and social interaction at the intersection of person, medicine and society. Particular attention will be devoted to the notion of social interaction - in particular between roles - and to the variables that influence it (resources, age, gender, ethnicity)

Teaching methods

On-line lessons on Teams, during which the interaction students-teacher is explicitly stimulated, also by proposing contents discussion at the end of every lesson.

Assessment methods and criteria

The written on-line text consists in 3 open questions (30 minutes to answer) on Elly platform. Students are asked to charge their id document on Onedrive before the exam, as it will be specified a few days before the exam

Other information

Each correct answers corresponds 3 points, so that 11 correct answers is 30 e lode (33), 10 is 30 and so on. Those who has presented their certificate (BES or DSA) to the competent university office have a graduate scale on 1/3 time, that is 8 correct answers = 30 e lode and so on. They can also choose the oral exam if communicated few days before the exam to the teacher.
