Learning objectives

Recognizing the main terms and concepts of the socio-educational design.
Recognizing the main theoretical, methodological and technological approaches of socio-educational design.
Recognizing and understanding the main principles and methods of evaluation/assessment.
Hypothesizing and planning a project.
Knowing how to connect the contents of the course with the problems of socio-educational services.
Hypothesizing and planning an intervention training path.
Critiquing and developing critical thinking.

Full programme

The course aims to offer an overview of the issues that cross the field of educational design showing the direct and indirect links with the experience of those who work in socio-educational contexts as an educational professional.

Students will be constantly encouraged to participate in the proposed activities through both classroom interactions with the teacher, and with the documentation of the re-elaborations carried out individually and / or in small groups on the Elly page of the course. In this sense, attendance corresponds to participation, both in presence and at a distance, in the proposed educational activities.

Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and may include one or more of the following resources: slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.

The lesson log - collaboratively built with attending students - will be made available on the Elly page of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria

A structured written test (mandatary) on the contents of the course and the activities carried out.
An elective oral exam (only if the written exam has been passed with a grade equal to or greater than 18/30) concerning in a presentation of a socio-educational project / theoretical study previously agreed with the teacher. The methods of elaboration of this summary will be exposed during the first lessons in the course and reported on the Elly page of the course.

Attending students can be exempted from the written test, opting alternatively for the oral discussion of the documentation of the activities carried out during the course.
