Learning objectives

The course aims to give knowledge of the basic concepts for a precise and quick investigation of the resources in medical databases and understand the best way to their investigations.

The student will learn how to get information from data by carrying out statistical analysis of descriptive and inferential character.

The student will learn how to communicate scientific results with short presentations.

Course unit content

How to select and analyze informations in databases.
Statistical analysis on databases with the program SPSS.
Boolean Algebra. Linear algebra: matrices and linear systems.

Statistical analysis on databases with SPSS.

Contingence tables and tests.

Boolean Algebra:
Boolean operators, truth's tables.
Binary System.
