Learning objectives
Knowledge and understanding: the students will acquire information about chemometrics and elaboration of data deriving from industrial processes by developing a critical thinking related to the managment of industrial processes.
Applying knowledge and understanding: the students will be able to solve problems related to their working activity.
Making judgements: the students will be able to evaluate the results obtained and to promote innovation.
Communication skills: the students will be able to support and expose their thinking.

Teaching methods
The course develops in 40 hours of frontal teching during the which the students are guided to the understanting of the concepts of chemometrics and statistical process control and in 12 hours of laboratory (computer elaboration of data). Face-to-face teaching will be carried out, but
distance teaching (in synchronous modality) via TEAMS is also forecasted. In this case, students must advise the teacher beforehand.
Lessons related to computer data elaboration have to be followed to be admitted to the final exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination to verify:
the acquisition of basic and advanced concepts related to data elaboration for statistical control process
the ability to use the acquired knowledge to solve new problems as required to friutfully enter the professional life
If required by the COVID-19 emergency, oral examinations will be performed via TEAMS. The use of an identification document will be required. No books or notes are allowed during the exam.
Other information
Didactic material related to the following items: statistical control process, quality control and multivariate data analysis will be available via ELLY until March 1st 2021. As for "Process optimization" the students have to take notes since the theorical part will be discussed togheter with the exercises.
