Learning objectives

Students learn language useful for their field of study and working in the fields of pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry. The focus is on writing skills and speaking skills in specific areas: writing information material and giving academic presentations.

Teaching methods

Teacher – class lessons using slides (available on elly). Language exercises and practice.

Assessment methods and criteria

For attending students: assessment in two parts; one written text to be handed in during the course, with careful attention to language points covered in the lessons, and an oral test on presentation skills and pronunciation consisting of a presentation.
For non-attending students: Written test on texts similar to those used during the course.
