Multicultural communication lab is part of the integrated course of General Nursing II.
The course's goal is to provide the student s with the skills that will enable them to use the appropriate english language in a multicultural healthcare setting.
This means comprehension, written and oral expression, knowledge of the main glossary.
Therefore, to achieve a good language command when assessing the patients' general wellbeing/health status, and all throughout the nursing process.

The main issues covered as follows:
The human body: glossary/description of the human body, the main body systems and their function.
Being a nurse: the profession, the Code of Ethics, the healthcare setting.
Talking about sickness: the main diseases with their signs and symptoms. Glossary and suppementary worksheets.
The nursing tools: observation charts and tools, nursing handover, integrated care pathways.
The vital signs and the physical assessment.
The patient admission to hospital: first interview and nursing assessment.
The nursing process and the plan of care. NANDA diagnoses. Pactical applications of the nursing process.
Supplement: Hands hygiene.
