Learning objectives

The training activity is addressed to little groups of students. The objective of the training activity is to enable the acquisition of knowledge and understanding about the principles of mass spectrometry and applications to the laboratory diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections.

Illustration of the applications of mass spectrometry to the laboratory diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections.

Full programme

Illustration of the principles of mass spectrometry. Illustration of the mass spectrometer. Example of the preparation of biological samples for the laboratory diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections by mass spectrometry. Representative examples of mass spectra.
