THE COURSE AIMS TO DESCRIBED THE TRENDS IN THE CURRENT PROCESS OF INSTITUTIONAL REFORM AFFECTING THE CURRENT FUNCTIONAL AND ORGANISATIONAL ORDER OF THE REGIONS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES, THEIR MUTUAL RELATIONS AND THOSE WITH THE STATE. PRINCIPLE SUBJECTS COVERED DURING THE COURSE: - HISTORY OF REGIONALISM IN ITALY, UP TO THE RECENT REFORM OF CHAPTER V OF THE CONSTITUTION INTRODUCED UNDER THE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW N.3 OF 2001<br />

- REGIONAL STATUTARY POWER, THE NATURE OF REGIONAL GOVERNMENT AND THE NEW DIVISION OF LEGISLATORY COMPETENCIES BETWEEN THE STATE AND THE REGIONS FOLLOWING THE RECENT REFORM OF CHAPTER V OF THE CONSTITUTION<br />
- THE PRINCIPLES OF SUBSIDIARITY, APPROPRIATENESS AND DIFFERENTIATION AS CRITERIA FOR DISTRIBUTING<br />
- ADMINISTRATIVE COMPETENCIES AMONG THE STATE, REGIONS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES<br />
- REGIONS, EUROPE AND THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM.<br />
FOR SOME SUBJECTS DEALT WITH DURING THE COURSE, SEMINARS WILL BE ORGANISED TO RESEARCH TOPICS OF PARTICULAR CURRENT INTEREST AND IMPORTANCE, WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF PROFESSORS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH INSTITUTES.
