Learning objectives
At the end of the course students will acquire:
1.the knowledge necessary to understand the principles of bank management, its risks, the conditions of the economic and financial equilibrium of a bank, the evolution of the Italian banking system and the complex impact of fintech on banking;
2.the ability to apply knowledge in order to solve bank management problems;
3.the ability to define the aims of a bank and to undertake the decisions to reach them;
4.team working and the ability to communicate.

Students are suggested to pass Financial Markets and Institutions before attending this course
Course unit content
The course illustrates the conditions of the economic and financial equilibrium of Italian banks, analyzing their strategic positioning, managerial policies and competitive strategies. The second part of the course deals with the FinTech challenge.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination.
The knowledge of the topics of the course will be find out by 5 open questions, each evaluated up to 6 marks.
The written exam could be replaced with in itinere tests (partial written exams) during the course.
