Learning objectives

The course ensures a command of the methods of the ancient sources and a specific knowledge of the debate of the modern historiography on the Greek-Roman world.

Prerequisites

Students are required to have introductory knowledge of ancient history.

Course unit content

<br />Advanced course in the methodology and interpretation of ancient historiography. The emphasis is on the methods of deformation and propaganda in the ancient sources.
