Learning objectives
To transmit to the student those skills that will enable able him/her to design a small urban area, a small public space, a piece of architecture non-residential and small in size. Skills that will enable the student to improve graphic-descriptive capacity in for a project, as well as those of a basic physical model. Instilling the theoretical/critical knowledge essential for developing a project.

Course unit content
The course emphasizes the theme of figuration as an instrument of interpretation and expression of the meanings representative of architecture within the urban landscape in its historical evolution and in its contemporary phenomenology is the basis of the design experience. The theme of the small aggregate, the project of a first specialization of the architectural organism, the project of public space, are the foundation of this experience. A first theoretical awareness of the issues of architecture and then the knowledge required to pass the exam.

Teaching methods
The workshop work through revisions, both individual and collective, of the design work by the students along with a series of lectures, constitute the basic tools of the teaching experience.
Assessment methods and criteria
Exhibition of the work done and its path. Student assessment is made by taking into account both the final result and his/her application in the various phases of the project. The evaluation is sufficient if the project demonstrates a capacity acquired to address the issue, in terms of approach but also in terms of graphic representation and verbal presentation. In addition to the final check there are some moments of intermediate verification of learning, conducted at seminar groups within the confines of the single workshop.
