Learning objectives
The exercises of clinical nursing applied a form of interactive activities, addressed to a small group of students, coordinated by the tutor of the course, in collaboration tutors and clinical nurse specialists, with the aim at making technical and specific behaviors of professional training through exercises a protected environment on the techniques inherent in nursing care in surgery and general medicine.

Course unit content
The procedures subject of exercise are: blood sampling, capillary and venous; placement and removal of peripheral venous catheter, the bladder catheter and nasogastric tube; administration of drugs to oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous administration; use of personal protective equipment.

Teaching methods
The activity of guided exercises, conducted in laboratories equipped at the training center, is aimed at small groups of students and coordinated by a tutor of the course, divided into: illustration tools and principals; description or simulation of procedures; direct application by the student on a dummy in the laboratory.
Assessment methods and criteria
At the end of the teaching activity, there is a test aimed at assessing the acquisition of skills provided by testing stations, checklists and written test on the practical aspects of the management of therapy.
