Learning objectives
The course aims to familiarize students with theoretical treatment of educational issues and have them acquire the critical tools to highlight their limitations
Prerequisites
Students must have obtained 10 learning credits in General Education
Course unit content
The course focuses on two main topics: during the first part of the course, we’ll propose a critical analysis of the overlapping and identification of Theory of Education and Philosophy of education, as main trend of contemporary educational researchers; in the second part, we’ll focus on the concept of theory in a pedagogical context, and we’ll compare the pedagogical approach to educational questions with the approaches proposed by other human sciences, especially the anthropologic-etnographic one.
