Learning objectives

The course aims to provide the theoretical foundations of the study of the major transportation systems. Particular attention is paid to design safety in transport infrastructure in urban and metropolitan planning investments.
This student also has tools for the design of infrastructure in industrial areas and freight village.

1) Optical and perception of the road. Human behaviour in trasnportation engineering.
2) The design of the road section, mobility and traffic analysis.
3) Road intersections.
4) Models for the analysis of transport demand.
5) Sustainable mobility and traffic calming systems.
