Prerequisites
Students are required to have followed the practical language courses during the first semester These courses are intended for the first year students in order to prepare them for the module in the second semester.

Full programme
The audiovisual documents and writings will be subject to a reflection on the nature of the text in its various types, will provide an opportunity for the enrichment of lexical analysis of phraseology and an introduction to the practice of translation. Especially in the analysis of articles or essays, particular attention will be paid to the argumentative component and the dynamics of textual cohesion and progression. Even the narration and description will be considered, and not only through literary texts. The comprehension activities will be aimed at acquiring and processing strategies to compare, summarize and translate literary texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, preceded by a written test.
Other information
The written test is preliminary oral examination and divided into four parts: listening comprehension (non-beginner students) / communicative functions (beginners), reading comprehension, phonetics and grammar.
The students, to present to the written test, must have attended 10 hours of self-study in the multimedia lab.
