Course presentation - video

Why in Parma?

The civil and environmental engineer plays a fundamental role in contemporary society. They deal with various issues that affect everyday life, such as design, construction, surveying and maintenance of structural works in civil and industrial buildings and infrastructures (roads, railways, airports); management of works on water resources (water treatment systems); management and mitigation of natural and anthropic risks (landslides, floods, earthquakes); analysis of the interactions between the soil and the works.

The degree course aims to train first level technical professionals who contribute to the design and construction process of civil and environmental engineering works. The course is connected the territory, which is home to some of the largest international construction companies and important management bodies, which collaborate closely with the university. Moreover, the favourable ratio between lecturers and students allows for a direct relation with the professors, making life easier for future engineers.
