Learning objectives
The objective of the course is to understand the basic concepts of enzymology such as: chemical and enzymatic kinetics, transition state theory, enzyme reaction types, enzymes, single and multi-layered enzymes, enzyme tests. The course also aims to introduce students to the possible industrial and/or medical applications where enzymes play a decisive role.
At the end of the course the student should have a clear understanding of the theory underlying enzymatic activity and a clear vision of biocatalytic applications in the world of work.
