Learning objectives

Deep knowledge of the sixteenth century European context via analysis of the sources. Knowledge of the principal historiographic interpretations on the theme.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of modern history and a lexical mastery in order to be able to conceptualise the different aspects. Solid knowledge of institutional aspects.

Course unit content

The sixteenth century European context will be explored via the study of the Emperor Carlo V.

Teaching methods

The course will take place in seminars. The participants will contribute with oral presentations previously agreed upon which will be followed by discussion. Method of evaluation: the participants will be evaluated on the basis of their presentations in the seminar and the subsequent oral exam.
