Acquisition of key elements about the history of literary dialects, the Greek dialectology, history of the Greek language.
Course unit content
Title: Hesiod's Catalogue of Women and its authorship: the linguistic aspect.
The monographic course will focus on the analysis of the language of the Catalogue of Women, with particular reference to the debate about its authenticity. Part of the teaching will be devoted to the Greek dialects and the history of literary languages.
