Integrated course unit module: LATIN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (INTEGRATED)

Learning objectives

Acquisition of the methodological, literary and language skills required to produce an individual piece of research.

Prerequisites

Students must have acquired at least 10 credits in the Latin Language and Literature SDA. Students who have already acquired 15 credits in the same SDA must pass a preliminary written exam.

Course unit content

Course title: (Strong) thought in poetry <br />
<br />
During the course students will be required to read poetry texts selected from Lucretius, Horace, Virgil, Seneca, Dante and Leopardi. <br />
It will also include focused examinations, in relation to literary institutions, of the development of Latin and the specific characteristics of each author’s style. Students will be required to produce a piece of individual scientific research to be agreed with the teacher. <br />
