Integrated course unit module: GREEK LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (INTEGRATED)

Learning objectives

<p>The philological method, which students were introduced to starting with the Greek literature course of Prof. G. Burzacchini, will be further studied and examined, in order to provide students with a historically knowledgeable approach to Greek literature. Particular focus will be placed on the history of tradition, textual criticism and history of classical philology. In the monographic part of the course images of Homeric papyri in digital format and on microfilm and testimonies of indirect tradition will be proposed, in order to make students familiar with the original documents and papyrologic and palaeographic problems.</p>

Prerequisites

An important prerequisite are the skills acquired during courses related to SSD L-FIL-LET/02 for the three year degree.
