Learning objectives
Students will acquire advanced language skills for the reading and interpretation of Latin authors.
Prerequisites
Course requirement: 10 credits in the Latin language and literature SDA.
Course unit content
Course title: Seneca and friendship.
Linguistic and stylistic analysis of a choice of Senecan texts on friendship: particular focus will be on selected passages taken from dialogi, de beneficiis and epistulae ad Lucilium.
A section of the course will be dedicated to an in-depth examination of certain aspects of historical phonetics and morphology.
