Learning objectives

Audiometric methods for the prevention of deafness in infants.

Prerequisites

The student must have sat the examinations of the Integrated Course of Audiometry I and Audiometry II.

Course unit content

Neurophysiological bases, clinical methods and indications of auditory evoked potentials. Electrocochleography (ECoG). Auditory brainstem responses (ABR). Middle latency responses (MLR). Slow vertex responses (SVR). Evoked cortical responses (P300).Neurophysiological bases, clinical methods and indications of otoacoustic emissions.
