Learning objectives
To provide basic information to understand biotechnological approaches to diagnose and treat the most important conditions referable to disorders of the inflammatory and immunological responses.
Prerequisites
Basic information on inflammation and immunology is strongly recommended. However, these subjects will be treated during other lectures of the Course.
Course unit content
Lectures will concern:
a) disorders of the inflammatory response
b) immunodeficiency
c) hypersensitivities and immune-mediated tissue damage
d) autoimmunity
