Course unit content

Design of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures according to Eurocodes.

Full programme

1) Buckling of RC slender columns and frames, P-Delta method, equivalent curvature method, finite element method [1]; 2) Prestressed concrete structures, prestressing actions [2]
3) Loss of prestress [3,5]
4) Creep and shrinkage, effective moduus, age adjusted effective modulus
5) Strut and tie: corbels, walls, beam-column nodes, etc. [5]
6) RC slabs
7) Linear and nonlinear analysis [5]
8) Punching
9) Strenghtening of RC structures by means of ocmposite materials
