The digestive system. Utilization of the products of dietary energy and protein.. The roles and requirements of major minerals and trace elements, of vitamin and water. Chemical composition and palatabilty feeds. Factors affecting digestibility feeds. Naturals and contaminant toxicants in feeds. Estimating nutrient value of feeds based on digestible energy (DE) and French horse net energy. Nutrient requirements for maintenance, growth, lactation and work. Feeding broodmares. Feeding foal, weanling, yearlings. Feeding stallion.Feeding working horses.
