Course unit content

Costituents of living organisms: organic and inorganic matter. Autotrophic and eterotrophic organisms. Plant metabolism: photosynthesis. Nitrogen and carbon utilization Procariots: Saprofitism and symbiosis. Rhizobium-legume symbiosis. Eucariots: cell wall, plastids, vacuole. Vegetal tissues and their characteristics.. Organography of the vegetables and functions. Flowers, fruits and seeds, root. Products of secondary metabolism.

and transpiration. Nitrogen and carbon utilization Procariots: Saprofitism
and symbiosis. Rhizobium-legume symbiosis. Eucariots: cell wall, pla-
stids, vacuole. Growth and development of the vegetal cell. Cellu-
lar differentiation. Vegetal tissues and their characteristics. Morphology
and anatomy of the plants. Organography of the vegetables and fun-
ctions. Flowers, fruits and seeds.Products of secondary metabolism: lectin,
glycosides, tannins, alkaloids.
