Learning objectives

The purpose is to make students familiar eith the two languages from their old stage until Modern Age.References to the actual stand of both languages are possible.

Prerequisites

Command, it may be also only passive, of both languages and knowledge of the Germanic Linguistics.

Course unit content

The two courses are concerned with the History of the German and the English languages, beginning from their origines until to Modern Age.

Full programme

This program can also be integred with general lectures about languages and compratative germanic philology.
