written and oral communication skills as well as knowledge and understanding of translation theories applied to languages for special purposes

Prerequisites

B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages as well as successful attendance of the teaching course “Lingua e traduzione tedesca II”

- German linguistics on a contrastive basis (German/Italian)
- text linguistics
- German for special purposes: general features
- theory and practice of translation
- terminology research involved in translation
- tools for translation and their use
- first approach to the medical terminology in German: linguistic reflections on compounds and on the ways of translating them into Italian
