Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with solid general knowledge about the main literary manifestations of the 20th century, instruments for the contextualization of literary phenomena in socio-cultural and historical perspectives, and interpretative tools for an analysis of the complex cultural manifestations of contemporaneity.
Prerequisites
Students will have passed the exams of Letteratura Inglese I e II
Course unit content
The course focuses on the study of the main authors, works and movements in 20th-century literature. Particular attention is given to the major moments of Modernism and Postmodernism, as well as to the the developments of English-language literatures in postcolonial countries.
